In the arena where opinions collide,

Hypocrisy's mask may briefly hide.

A two-step emergence, swift and sly,

As opinions drift, a consensus may lie.

Eroding foundations, where trust should stand,

As actors play parts with a deceitful hand.

Distrust breeds suspicion, a toxic seed,

In hidden opinions, the truth does bleed.

Eroding the pillars of unity,

As disunity blooms with impunity.

Duplicitous whispers in the air,

Encouraging masks that others wear.

Humans, like actors, on a social stage,

Copying opinions, breeding outrage.

Values once cherished, now in decline,

Confusion reigns, a tangled design.

A societal echo, a subtle sway,

As opinions blend and blend, in shades of gray.

Yet, in this chaos, a call to mend,

To strive for truth, to transcend.
