So here lies my tale of a love so deep,

That it stirred the souls of those who'd hear it weep.

Passion, fierce as the winds that blow,

Led to harsh words, and I chose to go.

Through the dense forest, my anger led,

A path of solitude, with dread I tread.

But the heavens above watched and conspired,

Unleashing a storm of wind, rain, and fire.

The storm, ferocious, with unbridled wrath,

Tore through the woods, cutting its dark path.

Trees, like sentinels of the old, were split,

And I, in my foolishness, marched through it.

The fury around mirrored my inner storm,

But thoughts of her, they were soft and warm.

In haste, I moved, to bridge the gap we'd made,

Not heeding the signs to stay, to wait.

Lightning carved the sky, a celestial scream,

A warning, perhaps, or so it would seem.

Yet I battled through the tempest's rage,

A battle with nature, a lethal cage.

As I neared our home, my heart alight,

I envisioned her face, a guiding light.

But fate, cruel and unyielding took its toll,

A lightning strike to maim my soul.

A tree, ancient and mighty, its end nigh,

Fell with a roar, under the storm's cry.

And there I lay, beneath its weight immense,

My last thoughts of her, my only recompense.

The storm passed, as all storms do,

Leaving silence, and the morning dew.

She found me there, at the break of day,

Lying broken, under the forest's sway.

In my haste, fate's cruel hand had played its part,

Some storms in life, slay even the strongest heart.

Patience, a virtue, I learned too late,

In love and in life, sometimes best to wait.

So here lies the tale of a love so deep,

And the man who into the storm did leap.

Passion, fierce as the winds that blow,

Harsh words, that would forever see him go.
