In a world that's quick to demean,

Ego is armor, powerful and mean.

Ego, they say, divides and tears,

Yet, in its essence, it dares.

Dares to stand, to protect, to fight,

For what it claims in the right.

Ego, the flame that lights the dark,

Guiding the spirit, igniting the spark.

"Too perfect to fail," whispers our pride,

In the face of adversity, we take it in stride.

Yet, in its strength, a balance we must find,

Too much, and we're to arrogance blind.

Ego, when mastered, is a powerful force,

Steering us steadily, on our true course.

It whispers, "You are strong, you belong,

In this world, they are wrong."

For in the heart of the strong, ego finds its place,

Not as a master, but as a grace.

So let the ego bloom, not wild, but wise,

For in its strength, the true self lies.
