In ages veiled by the mists of time,
Where fables live and legends chime,
In a man's cloak, she ventures forth,
Disguised as man, to learn her worth.
There, she met a scholar, poor but wise,
Together in pursuit of truth, beyond the skies.
Time beckoned her home, their parting nigh,
With metaphors and scenery, she hinted, shy.
Yet, he, oblivious to the heart's silent cry,
Failed to see the truth, as the moment passed by.
Realization dawned, too late, with clarity,
He sought her, in hope of shared serenity.
But fate had woven its thread, unkind,
Her hand promised to another, as designed.
Heart shattered, he wilted, a flower deprived of sun,
In solitude and grief, his life was undone.
She, in bridal red, approached his resting grace,
A storm unleashed, a tomb's embrace.
The heavens cracked, the earth did part,
She leapt within, to mend her broken heart.
From the void, in an enchanted surge,
Emerged two butterflies, their souls did merge.
